Universities have extended their use of identification cards with smart card technology and may require students to swipe their cards before granting access to buildings such as the library or dining facility.  

Businesses can use any variation of the identification cards to ensure only approved personnel enter a building.  Functions can also allow either full access to a facility or restricted access – you can define admission only to certain areas or certain times of the day.  The control can even be extended to immediately invalidate a terminated employees’ card, or to approve access for temporary employees or vendors needing long-term access to the facility.

Picture identification cards, meant to be worn at all times while at work, also make it more difficult for anyone to pass an access card to another employee or an outsider.

Visitor Enrollment  and Visit 
Enroll your visitors easily and efficiently.  Prior to guests arrival, enter all pertinent visitor information, assign an employee host, activate date ranges for scheduled visits, optionally capture visitors photo and signature, and even assign privileges to your visitor. Then upon arrival, your visitor can be signed with a simple mouse click, a guest badge can be printed and the employee host is notified electronically that their guest has arrived and is checked in and ready for business. For large groups, D/A Central can set up bulk sign-in capabilities. With customizable data entry forms, a system administrator can enter unique data required by your organization and allow detailed tracking of scheduled visits and departures times.  If a visitor has been assigned access rights to card readers, your system operators can tightly track visitor’s movement throughout the facility.   Administrators can also link to digital video clips of visitor activity as needed.

Assets Tracking
Create records for items such as laptops, cameras, projectors, as well as other office assets assigned to a cardholder and link them to a cardholder account.

Secure Cards/Proximity Cards
Smart cards, proximity or magstripe cards or any combination are customizable with graphics and text for easy recognition for single site or enterprise/multi-site systems.   Encoding cards allows the system to gather usage information which can identify trends and problems and interpret activity.  This data can lead to the foresight of possible incidents or undesired activity.
